Conversations About Time

Six people from Kullorsuaq tell us about their memories of the past and their dreams from the future.

What will happen on the edge of global worries? The stories show a mixture of optimism and pride. One tells how he built his own house before electricity came to the settlement. Another describes how the prolonged summer is changing the rhythm of the animals and affecting the hunt when the sleighs and huskies have to wait for the ice to form. Lars Jensen is confident that the people of Greenland will adapt to the changes – the winter feels to long and cold anyway.
