Plan

This is the latest version of our plan, which is also forming the milestones for our budget and financing.

The Milestones of the plan are described below

1 Research Trip

August 2009 – September 2009
Annesofie Norn and Ole Kristensen went on a two month research trip on the northwestern coast of Greenland, visiting settlements to locate people and place for the project. Test recordings were made in Savissivik and Kullorsuaq involving the local inhabitants and perceptions of time in changing landscapes.

2 Research Station Construction

November 2010 – March 2011
The research station will be constructed in Copenhagen and Berlin, in collaboration with Illutron. Test runs will be performed continuously, refining the recording capabilities and working with the aesthetics.

April 2011
One uninterrupted test recording in Denmark for a full month prior to departure for Kullorsuaq.

May 2011 – July 2011
In Kullorsuaq the Research station will be setup with permanent cabling and weather shielding. Before starting the One Year performance a series of long test runs will be run to fine tune the equipment and explore the artistic capabilities with our local performers.

3 One Year Performance

July 2011 – July 2012
During the one year performance, the research station will record images and sound, with a dynamic timing, depending on the level of activity in view. The performers will work with the research station and their own video recordings.

4 Postproduction

September 2012 – December 2012
The team will meet in Berlin, to make the material ready for exhibition. It involves editing, rendering, colourgrading, subtitling and sonification of recorded data. We will also have to construct exhibition screens and work with the projector and audio setup.
